They expressed who is responsible for what in terms of responsibility, insurance, shipping, payment and so on. Some examples of Incoterms are: DAT (Delivered At Terminal); CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight), FOB (Free On Board); CPT (Carriage Paid To).
